Professor YiPPiT & Friends: Press

There was an article on Cleverparents.com that listed the top 10 songs that parents should download for their kids AND themselves and YiPPiT was #2!!!!!!! Here's what they said:

Number 2: Rearrange – You may not have heard of Professor Yippit, but you should. He writes kids songs with passion and creativity. Rearrange pumps along like the little locomotive that could. This is one of the little guys that I hope you’ll be seeing, and hearing, a lot more from in the future.
"Professor Yippit & Friends is not just a show, it's an experience! It's entertainment that the whole family can enjoy. And, the music and energy is so contagious, that you'll find yourself singing and laughing along."

Over the last couple of days, I've been checking out the profiles of people and bands who write and perform children's music. I truly believe that your lyrics and music are the best I've heard (there are a couple others who are really good - but I think you're going to be the next big children's musician).............I love the song "Rearrange".
This song is incredible!

Professor Yippit
With the way popular music has gone these days, I find a hard time coming across music I find as suitable for my children. While their friends may listen to Lady Gaga, Rhianna, and Ke$ha, I prefer my kids to listen to something a little more wholesome, something that won't expose them to the seedier parts of our culture. Try as I might, it is not easy to find good quality children's music these days, even with the wonders of the internet. The nearest thing to kids music I usually came across was those Kids Bops CDs that are just awful covers of the popular songs on the radio and on MTV.
One day I was lucky enough to come across Professor Yippit's website. The guy looked like he was a clown so I wasn't sure what to think at first, but I listened to some of his music and found it to be some pretty entertaining, well written, fun music that I could play for my children. Professor Yippit records seasonal music as well, which is a big deal for my children who love to have Halloween or Christmas music around those holidays. I was able to get some great music from Professor Yippit and place it on their iPods for them to listen to on their way to practice or to class. The best part about Professor Yippit it he is totally accessible, and will actually perform shows or write music for you! I realized this after emailing him a question about how to access his music electronically and was blown away with how fast he responded.
While I haven't yet booked him for my children's birthday party, I certainly would love to have him perform, as he has become very popular amongst my children and their friends. I have been able to get Professor Yippit to write some customized songs for my children and they couldn't believe it! It was like they had a personal connection to a rockstar!
I wanted to highly recommend Professor Yippit to everyone out there in the same predicament I found myself in. He is a great guy and a world class singer/songwriter, something that is sorely lacking in today's music environment.

"I would like to highly recommend Matt Burmeister / aka: Professor Yippit for any libraries in the state that are looking for new talent on the children’s entertainment scene. Matt and his band were great! His songs had positive, kid-friendly messages. His voice is really nice – and the music had everyone from the children to the grandparents rocking along and wanting more. One of my board members who came to help run a carnival game commented that the sound quality was excellent – never overpowering as “rock” music can often be."

Professor Yippit was a HUGE hit both times he performed live at our shopping center. The upbeat music and Walkabout Willie’s dance moves got all of the kids “rubbing their nose, wiggling their toes”. All of the moms absolutely loved it – and they already have a huge fan base!!! I am so excited to have the Kids Show here every Monday, and can’t wait to hear new music!

"I was just driving home
from church, by myself, no kids in the car, to pick something up and go
right back. About half way home, I realized that I was singing along with
Professor Yippit!!!
I have worked in the childcare/preschool "industry" for 14 years now and I am the mother of 3 crazy and wonderful kids, and I think that Professor
Yippit is the BEST children's album ever. I love it. It's not just for small kids. My 7 and 9 year olds love it too. They will randomly break
out in a song from the C.D. It's so cool to here them singing "Don't Give
Up" or "Use Your Imagination". I can tell them those things 'til I'm blue in the face, but they here it better put to music. I love the songs
because they aren't just cutesy songs about nothing, they have meaning and
thought in them. Thanks for wonderful entertainment for my kids (and me)!!!!"

The kids really enjoyed the show. They love it when performers let them
get "in the act". After a long day at school, its good for them to get
exhilarated about music and get moving. Thanks!
